It has been mice to be away from the election "coverage". In fact all news, that we think is so important, but really isnt. Its mostly a distraction of stuff we have no control over. You are forced into a simpler life here. What will we do today is the most pressing issue.
The (only)ATM had been down for a couple days due to high usage on the Day of the Dead weekend. We probably could have made do, but sadly,we get security from money and so we were happy to find it worked finally. We went shopping: Bananas, oranges, avacados, papayas, grapefruit, tomatoes, salsa, dishsoap, tortillas, butter--$8.40! wow.
next couple days---Not much to report lots of walking around this town. It's the little things that are so remarkable to me. The audacity of the colours of things. I was just lounging in the pool (I do that every day) looking up at the blue blue sky through the bouganvallia, when these birds began flying over...just birds, but they were lemon yellow!! and the way plants grow here through the rock walls. You can't stop them! I have already selected the plants I would have in my garden. and yes, I would still need room for tomatoes and lettuce!

Mice? Ya you would pretty much have to be mice to avoid all the stupid election coverage up here! (haha)
I thought it would be over with the US election but now we are having a civic election in Vancouver and there is a provincial election in Quebec that they will bombard us with now too.
Enjoy your remote-ness while you can!
love yoo,
