An adventure is what happens when you don't know where you're going or what it will be like when you arrive. It involves trust....
Finally, after a very long time in the air and some backtracking, we made it to Alamos about 29 hours later. I LOVE IT. It's definitely a Mexican town...still. I love the market, the centro historico and the house we rented. The gringos say "hi" as well as the Mexicanos. We seem to be having more trouble being understood this time. But it feels good to be here. So far the answer is YES....I could live here 6 months of the year. Especially after the way the community came together after Hurricane Norbert.
Went out to the plaza tonight to hear the musical celebration for the Day of the Dead. There was a very talented young band performing..not getting much love from the audience. As a musician, I don't get it.
